Combi-Track ~ Product development
At the manufacturing plant - which could be anywhere in the world - your own price tag with barcode is attached to the item of clothing. A barcode reader reads the details of the item one last time, and the data is automatically stored in the RFID chip on the Combi-Track tag. In one transaction, all chips of identical products will be programmed. From that moment on you can effortlessly and accurately follow and read this data at any location within the Supply Chain. Combi-Track will always show you whether your item of clothing is at the right location.
When the consumer goes to the POS with an item the checkout assistant will use a reader to read the tag. Once it has been established that the item does indeed belong in the shop a POS receipt will be created and the sales transaction recorded. Only then will the Combi-Clip be removed using a strong impulse. At the same time the data will be deleted from the chip and the chip is then blocked. As a result, it will not be possible to write more data on the chip in the shop, thus preventing internal fraud. Furthermore Combi-Track has a patent pending to stop all collusion fraud between cashier and customer.
TNT or UPS then collects the used Combi-Clips and RFID chips from your shop, puts them in a standard box and takes them back to our warehouse so they can be checked and re-used. Should a shoplifter manage to leave the shop without paying he will be in for a surprise if he tries to remove the tag: a non-washable ink will soil the stolen item of clothing, thus making shoplifting completely pointless!
