Combi-Track ~ Ink Protection
In 1984 we introduced the first ink protection system in the Benelux: the “Kleurklem” (Colour Tag). The idea was based on the “ink bomb suitcase” used to safely transport money and valuable documents. It was a preventive concept that made theft pointless and eliminated the need for pursuit or prosecution. An additional bonus was that it also improved staff safety. M&S Mode, Miss Etam and Perry Sport all took part in pilots. HEMA followed and installed more than a million Colour Tags within a single year. In practice, it has turned out that the tags decreased the theft of clothing by 50%-80%.
